Fabulous Valentine's Day Theme!

Updated: Jun 10, 2020

Is it possible to put a new and fresh twist on Valentine's Day Event decor?

Let's face it, Valentine's Day can be tricky when it comes to bringing something we haven't already seen a million times right?

But event staging and lighting have endless possibilities, and with the right crew of creatives, builders and professionals dedicated to deliver the goods, we know that anything is possible!

We love it when we see a job well done, and this example made us jump and say, "yay for love!"

On February 4 at the Appel Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York, Woman’s Day hosted its 17th annual Red Dress Awards to recognize advocates and survivors of heart disease. The B-52s performed some of their greatest hits during the evening on this luscious stage and setting.

The entire space is ooooozing with yummy red treatments; from the LED par can lighting that bathes all of the surfaces, to the flourishes of flowers made from lighting gobos, the stage is perfectly set to highlight the handcrafted heart lit from within as the focal point for the room.

What impressed us was the over-the-top lavishness of the decor. Sometimes lavish and busy event themes can be overwhelming and annoying, but this design hit the mark nine ways to Sunday.

The lighted gobos that cast flowers in well targeted locations really make the most of what could be a challenging space since large columns can often be troublesome to work with in a space.

Notice that the top flower design on the columns almost looks like it has been chiseled out of stone, and from there the lacy, outlines of flowers trail all the way down to and onto the floor to complete the look.

The position of the three dimensional heart in the center is flanked by the columns which ties the whole look together.

LED par can lighting throughout the venue brings in a warm and romantic feel.

The ring of seated benches is a great way to bring people together for drinks and conversation because let's face it, when you're trying to bring people together, strategic seating is key!

Sometimes event design elements look simpler than they actually are, and the work that goes into bringing a magnificent scene like this together is nothing short of magic.

When you are looking to create something fresh, you can count on us to work with the top creatives in the industry!
